Ego-c Twist help.
« on: July 27, 2012, 06:11:45 PM »
Hi, I am about 3 weeks into vaping and liking it, the problem is, if I keep the VVV at 3.2 all good. I turn it up slightly to get a stronger taste and TH. If I turn it right up to 4.2v I get a horrible taste of what I describe as vegetable oil taste. I know the ingredients are made up of a similar fluid, but is it supposed to taste like this or is it something I am doing wrong?
Whilst I am on, can anyone recommend some good falvours please?
Being a 3 day in completely ex-smoker (only vaping) I started with virginia (not too good), american red (Good), then got menthol (good),watermelon (good),and cherry (nice taste, just not strong enough) for a flavour change and to get away from tobacco tastes.
Not tried the tobacco flavour yet which came with my ego-c twist, is that any good.
I was a rollup smoker with Golden Tobacco so bought virginia first , but not good.
Thanks for any help.
Stu.

Hello matey, glad to hear your liking vaping, I am also having the same problem with my twist, it's sound @3.2 but if I crank it up I get a horrible burnt taste. On the tabacco flavor you got with it I must say its my favorite flavour of the all. Try American red tabacco patriot range, it's a very strong tabacco flavour.

Hi Aj, not just me then...phew. Will have to try the tobacco flavour then, normal american red is good, patriot range seems a bit steep in price , is there a reason for that?

I also get that burnt taste sometimes on the higher volts but it differs from flavour to flavour, i guess they burn better at different volts and it's trying each out. Tried some GS Lemon + Lime and that's better at highest volts.
I liked the tobacco flavour that came with the ego-c but also like the GS tobacco.

I'm not sure why there is a price difference. Don't know if you have seen the trades section? I have 30ml of PR American red tabacco I'm trading because I'm really not keen on it.

Have you found a way around the burnt taste yet? I've put a DCT on mine and vape at 4v and it's ok. But I really like the ego c atomiser and wish I could stop this burnt taste above 3.2v

If you read from the top , people say it depends on the juice on how well it performs at 4.2v. They also suggest mixing your own to see which comes out best for you. It's all down to personal taste really.
I just keep it under 4.0v and dont get much problem.
Had a menthol juice in and since I changed it it is taking forever to get get rid off the taste with other flavours. Think its going now though. Just menthol in everything, but I suppose it's one of the strongest flavours out there.

Don't think there's any way around the burnt taste, it's just the juice burning to high/long. It's the temp + time the juice is in the atomiser so either drop the voltage or suck harder so the juice goes through quicker. 8)

If you find a certain juice/flavour that's burning more than others it may be that the juice is thicker.

The taste of the juice should never be "burnt" at higher votages. Maybe different in a bad way but not burnt. Juice vaporizes fefore it can be burnt. The only thing that can burn is crud on the coil. That's build up from what doesn't vaporize and usually crud happens when the coils is old or puffed dry many times. "Always keep the atty wet"

Yes I use my modded cone every day. Stick a pair of needle nose pliers into the small end of the cone and with a bit of pressure twist the cone and pliers back and forth. This will slowly open the hole wider. You want the hole ven wider than the smokey so air can pass between the cone and the smokey. ;)

I have a thread here somewhere with pics.

I do everything with my iPhone. Odyssey all day baby ;D
