Red Label Apple 18mg

This was tested in a new 510 Cartomiser on a fully charged Tornado Megabattery.

Appearance:- This is a clear, pale yellow/brown fluid with a very slight milkiness, no floating particles or sediment.

Smell:- There is a strong smell of apple flavouring, similar to the smell of Appletise/Capri Sun from this juice.

Vapour Production:- Good amount of  fruity smelling vapour which dissipates fairly quickly.

Vapour Flavour:- This tastes very similar to how it smells, like an apple flavoured drink or apple flavoured boiled sweets, sweet but not sickly, apple flavoured rather than apples. Doesn’t dry the throat as much as some other juices.

Total Scores
Appearance :- 9/10 Nice clean juice , very slight milkiness,  good consistency.
Smell :- 8/10 Very pleasant sweet apple flavoured smell.
Vapour Production :- 8/10 Good amount of vapour which doesn’t hang around too long and smells fruity (according to the better half).
Vapour Flavour:- 7/10 Tastes, as it smells, apple flavoured. Mild throat hit.
Overall Scores:- 32/40 I haven’t used this flavour before and although I enjoyed it, and will be finishing off the sample, I probably won’t be buying any more of it as it tastes ‘flavoured’ rather than the true fruit. Not unpleasant, but not one I would return to as I prefer the more ‘true’ flavour of the DV Apple. If you enjoy apple candies you will like this.

Red Label Apple - 18mg October 2010

For this flavour I'll be using the Tornado Battery, with the 510 Atomiser and a regular TW cart.
On receiving the juice it's pale orange in colour, and the aroma from the bottle is a nice fresh sweet apple.
Juice soaks nicely into the filler, and it's not too runny.
The flavour of the juice is like a fresh apple drink. Not too sweet for me, and refreshing. I've been enjoying this flavour for a good few days now. The more I come back to it the more the flavour comes through. Really good.
Throat hit from this juice is really, quite good. Especially for an 18mg juice. I go from 18mg to 24mg and back. But this strength is great for flavour and throat hit.
Vapour is great, quite thick, the aroma isn't huge, just slightly sweet, but it doesn't linger.
I'd definitely have this juice again, and recommend it to fellow vapers. It's a good flavour to dip your toe into, other than tobaccos  if you've not tried them yet. I never thought I'd like sweet flavours, and I'd stick to tobacco juices. But I was wrong. There are  so many great flavours out there, and for me this is a keeper.

This review is of Red Label “Apple” – supplied at 18mg.

The liquid was used in a Screwdriver Mk1 fitted with an LR901 atomiser and cart and a nicely freshly charged 1000mah Spiderfire

The liquid is “cider coloured” and clear. It smells of apples!  Actually to me it smells like an apple does when you cut into it – a really “apple-y” smell..

The liquid is pleasantly runny and soaks well into the cartridge on both first fill and top-up.

When vaped, the liquid tastes of apple – not a massive APPLE taste but a gentle apple flavour that is fruity without being overpowering in any way at all.   I really like this flavour because it isn’t “apple flavour” as opposed to apple and is neither sour nor overly sweet.

The aftertaste is just a bit apple-y or fruity (much less so than many fruit flavours) and is pleasing “clean” – just a bit stickiness but no lingering sweetness or  fruitiness…

The vapour is quite strong, and the hit really very good (it gives a hit like a decent tobacco flavour) indeed at LR. The vapour smells a bit apple-y too, in a gentle way, and the smells passes quickly.

I really like this!  It’s not (as a fruit-flavour-phobe) one I would ever have bought, but it’s like a non-tobacco flavoured tobacco flavour!   A nice clean gentle apple taste, with great hit for the strength, and no horrible aftertastes…  Good one!
I won't slave for beggar's pay, likewise gold and jewels, but I would slave to learn the way to sink your ship of fools

TW Red Label Apple (18mg) October 2010

Equipment – 510 cleaned standard atomiser, 1000mAh manual Tornado battery, direct-drip method using a long metal tip.

Colour of liquid – Tangerine

Smell of liquid – Apple juice / concentrate – I’m also tempted to say ‘sweet cider’

Flavour / Taste – A pleasant taste of apple juice flavour covers the whole mouth with the aftertaste particularly affecting the back and tip of the tongue. It’s not sharp and neither is it too sweet, but it’s just about sweet enough to remind me of the types of apples used for making apple pie, rather than the eating varieties – and that’s the closest I can get to this liquid resembling the taste of the actual fruit. However, it’s quite refreshing and there’s not too much in the way of dryness…… 7/10

Throat Hit – It’s there in a fashion but it certainly doesn’t have that ‘wow’ factor. Top of throat, back of throat or top of chest – no area seems to get that much of a whack, quite mild in fact….. 6.5/10

Vapour Content – Not too bad at all. Reasonably thick clouds of vapour are produced which take just a little time to clear…. 7.5/10

In Summary – A nice enough flavour but it has far more in common with the soft drink or a dessert rather than the actual fresh fruit. That said, if you’re into apple related flavours then you shouldn’t be disappointed with this one. I certainly enjoyed it for what it was – apple juice flavour….. 7/10

Happy vaping everyone…..   :)

John
