Wet Gurgling Sound with my Ego C
« on: February 24, 2012, 10:33:37 PM »
Well 1 week as a vaper with my new ego-c. I do LOVE IT.

I tell all my smoker friends they should make the switch!

I do notice sometimes when i draw on it it makes a wet gurgling sound. Is this normal functioning? Or is the atomizer getting flooded?

Not sure if its a concern. I do feel like I am getting less vape when this happens.......

suggestions? Explainations?

 :D

Hiya Rabidrabbit, sounds like a little too much juice coming through and starting to flood the atty. Happens occasionally and all I do then is pull the tank out and 'tailpipe' the -C for a couple of draws, pop the tank back in and then it's good to go. Seems to be more susceptible to this when more than half empty.

Gurgling sound is normsl. Yes it can mean its flooded but no necessaryily. When mine stops gurgling I know its dry

It's possible you are covering the air slots to the atomiser when your vaping. This creates more of a vacuum and pulls more e-liquid out of the cart.... if the coil is already wet it will end up flooding it.

This is something you can do deliberately if your atomiser coil is running on the dry side to get it vaping again.  ;)

Yeah...some gurgling seems to be okay but then now its getting so flooded it's leaking out EVERYwhere.

Should I just write this atomizer off and replace it?

I've tried drying it off and blowing air though it and it keeps happening with this one.........

n thanks for that tip darth.........

Yeah it would probably be best to just change it.

But before doing so see if the cartridge is pushed in all the way .... could also be the  hole in the cartridge is bigger then it should be from repeated use... if I remember you had some issues getting the cap off to refill.... putting anything inside the hole to remove the cap should be avoided as it will distort the opening.

To be honest leaking shouldn't be an issue with the C I know it is but I don't know why.

As for flooding the atty its hard to do since the atty has a resivoir under the coil which collects juice and then you vape
That. The coil I find goes dry due to a tightly wound wick so I usually intentionally flood the atty slightly to give good flavour, just a few quick draws on the tank without pressing the power button

As for the atty where the resivoir is under the coil the plastic is raised so any excess liquid in the resivoir doesn't flow out the bottom of the atty

Here's a pic I grabbed to show you

Hope this helps

The only time I've had a leak from my -C's was when I was using the tanks that came in the atties with the kit, with the 'pre punched' holes in the caps. Swapped the caps for others from my stock and no more leaks.

thanks for that atty lesson kenneth.,...

stevie D...I think you hit the nail on the head.....I was using a cartridge which i had been refilling with the original hard plastic top. I tossed it and put a new cap on it yesterday and it has been fine ever since. Makes sense that it was the cap if it functions now, right?

Sure is nice to figure this stuff out.,. ;)

Vape on.
