Clearomizers last how long??
« on: July 24, 2011, 11:08:18 PM »
Hi guys! I recently re-tubed 4 of my clearomizers and finally got them tasting good. Can anyone tell me how long these things usually last? When they die. Meaning throwing them away when they die not when they crack. I rather like these things. After re-tubing them of course.
I am in love! With my Torpedo.

To me they are dead when you feel the taste of the liquid isnt quite what it is supposed to be( burnt, stale) and your not getting alot of vapor.  Also you can look at the wick were the coils are and if it is really black from gunked up juice then I would get rid of it. I know some people try to take them apart and clean and other things. But they are cheap enough that I don't feel like messing with all that. What I love about this forum is there will be about 20 other people who will have there own opinion on this.

I am one of those that does mess around with them, cleaning and dry-burning as needed, yada yada.  I only recently threw out two of my clearos that had been syringe modded (actually binned a third one today).  They were a couple of months old (the third one maybe a month old) and probably started dropping off in performance a week or two prior to that.

Basically, how long they last you will depend on how much of a drop off in performance you're willing to deal with and how much fiddling you are willing to do ;)  Heck, at the price of them, even if you only get a week or two of prime vaping out of each one you've gotten your money's worth from it  :)

And thats what i am saying! I dont mind the re-tubing. it actually makes me feel like a mad scientist! ha! I like the price also...so thats why I think I may pick up another pack. To me the atty is the most and the most aggravating part of a pv. Batteries dont piss us off. they just die!  :P but attys! Ive almost divorced my husband because of an atty!
ok seriously. Thanks! stale burnt less vapor....Will keep those signs in mind!
I am in love! With my Torpedo.

If you don't mind the "fiddling factor", then now is definitely the time to get more since the current stock is heavily discounted ;)

Just binned a standard clearo after 21 days use.
It was only just getting a bit gunked up and burnt, I only used dark liquids in this one.
Have bought another 3 packs of these so should be good for a while :)

I've found they last me 3 or 4 days before dropping off with flavour or vapour production (at which point I bin them). For me, that's about 15-20ml of juice. By comparison, I find a tank atomiser gets me through about 40ml of juice and a mega tank about 60ml. On that basis, clearos are incredibly cost-effective and definitely my current preferred way of vaping. I can't wait for the new, improved, ones to become available :D
